Hint: by clicking on the "0 of 6" sign on the bottom you can see all available endings.

I Wish I Were the Moon

An artgame about a love triangle inspired by Italo Calvino.

I shipped the first version of this game in 2008 and it was part of the artgames movement, along with my better known game, Today I Die.

Since that time, artgames have grown in size, ambition and willingness to explore all sorts of subjects, but this game was part of the initial movement that helped put artgames in the minds of press, players and other developers.

So I decided to honor it by making a version that works on current tech and adjusted the design to my current sensibilities.

- Daniel

PS: If you are one of those people who did play it back in the day, thank you for coming back after so long!

Recognized immediately the style of Today I die that I played back in the day.

What a throw back, thank you for preserving these games!

6 of 6 ez

I'm a tad frustrated that All Empty has to be so specific. I assume it includes the shooting star because I got rid of the moon, boat, girl, boy and bird....

to the moon?

I remember play this game around 2009. Glad to see on itchio

I don't know how to get 'Bring Me The Moon' or the secret ending, pls help

For Bring Me The Moon, you're supposed to grab the moon when it's in the background and give it to the boy.

If I remember correctly, BURNED! was the secret ending. It was recently removed.

Loved the original, love the new version <3

Qué belleza. Eso sí, tratando de conseguir All Empty me saltó un final "undefined". Me salta siempre que quemo algo con el meteorito. El indicador le suma 1 al contador de finales, pero no marca ninguno de los que hay en la lista.

This was and still is one of my favorite flash games from back in the day, thank you so much for putting this on here!

I love this game ❤️

Después de platinar storyteller y disfrutarlo un montón, lo último que pensé fue que iba a ser del mismo creador con el disfruté hace más de 10 años este juego en un navegador. Sos un genio, chabón. Éxitos en tus próximos proyectos

I played this for hours as a child, along with a very old prototype of storyteller. It made me realize how many things you could really do with games.

I don't know I play this game for full ending, lmao

Fa, me acuerdo de jugar esto en newgrounds como hace 10 años, ni sabía que eras argentino jaja

It's wild to see this game again after so many years, but at least now I can say that I finally got all the endings!

I am one of the people who purchased this game back in the day. I am an EFL teacher and I have even used it in the classroom. Also, I know that the current drag and drop mechanic looks cleaner but I somewhat miss the Polaroid framework when dragging and dropping. Here's for a Today I die release next.

<3 yes, I had to leave some of the charm for the historic version

Incredible game

Cute! I enjoyed it!

The button in the bottom left reads "of 6" for me though - not "of 7". Clicking it also only displays six endings, "Burning" isn't listed. Once you trigger it, it will appear in the list, but the maximum doesn't change. So completing all endings reads "7 of 6".

good catch!
