I have conquered this game, gg well done Daniel this was a blast!
Final score 8/10, simple but tactical, with a lot of small touches, such as the minotaurs acting shocked when you open their chests, really making the game memorable. I'd suggest making it possible to access the mark mode by pressing a button on the screen, that way it becomes playable on touchpads too.
I think the lack of explanations for monster placement kinda works in the game's favor, adds a lot of replayability.

What does the tiny little garden-gnome guy do? That's the one thing I haven't been able to figure out.
I think you need to find it a number of times before it gives u the 9 xp. It jumps around to a different location everytime u find it
he hides in empty spaces, if there are any empty spaces when you find him he moves, if there are no more empties he will turn into 9 exp instead.

Finally did it!!! got a lucky seed with the rat king and the slime mage, so took the chance to do this triple challenge
not sure why the image that's displayed is one where you kill everything on the board tho, maybe cause i've done that achievement before?

It's really hard to clear them, so i'm glad you made it
Random encounters. Avenging monsters, animated monster, monsters that summon in new monsters and the list goes on.

That is a ripoff and generally abysmal.
Make new levels, encounters etc. Don't be lazy my pedigree chum.
