The luckiest rat in the world...

Arghh! 302!

260...

Great game. Reminds me of Desktop Dungeon quite a bit. Would love it if you put numbers of current / max for healths / gems. Would make it easier to figure out how many you need left / can spend to level up.

Very fun game!

This is a really well designed game, well done, awesome work!

Oh my god this is amazing

(+5)

Fun! Would love some way of being able to mark mines without the anxiety of having to right click 11 times and not accidentally left click ^^;

(-1)

Nice! Took 2 days with a sleep break! 303~!

(-1)

Thanks a lot! Completed with a score of 192

What an amazing game. I loved it! image.png

I am stuck on the horizontal bar loading screen. Any ideas why?

(1 edit)

So am I.  I've tried multiple times on different days, with and without extensions activated.  Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 1809, Firefox 128.6.0esr (32-bit)

This seemed impossible at first but then it wasn't. Nice!

Brilliant! Does for Minesweeper what Balatro did for Windows ‘98 Solitaire. Hope this gets a wider release with more difficulty levels and progression systems, could become a proper indie hit. Would love a mobile port. Big up :-)

cool game.

Very cool! I thought it would be another game in the recent ocean of Balatro-like "something + engine building", but it is more like Desktop Dungeons.

Oh man, so close, best run I've had yet, this game is fun!

(-1)

The middle `?` looks like a bug to me.

(1 edit)

The one below the red 5? Looks okay to me. It belongs exactly to that 5.

the beholder can surround its self in 9 ?,  8 are pushed against it while 1 ?  is 2 tiles away instead of just one.

What a well balanced game! Each playthrough taught me something new, the monsternomicon was indeed all I needed, and after winning a few different ways, finally seeing the dragon all alone was so rewarding. Very well done! This is my new end-of-day unwinding game.

EDIT: as I am starting my next playthrough, I'm finding myself wishing for a game clock so I can see how quickly I can get through it. I get why this should not be rushed by default, but a race mode to do best times for a given final score would be great for "late game"

Second suggestion: annotation in the monsternomicon for the real counts of remaining monsters (as it is) but will added text showing what *you* the player think remains counting your right-click guesses for a given level number. I do enjoy the having to manually check, but I see that becoming less and less fun over time possibly. We will see.

Finally! Took me forever, but I got over 300. Everything dead, even the walls. Aaaand I can't figure out how to paste a picture.

What an awesome, interesting game. At its current phase, it feels too frustrating, but I hope it gets better in the future.

It was quite a task.

That was so fun! Perfect difficulty level, did minesweeper justice but was beatable after learning a bit. Nice work!

What a wonderful game! Didn't think I was ever going to beat it, but eventually...

(-1)

Finally!

I can't even play the game, it appears to be a bunch of colorful lines constantly moving when I click play. I was excited to give it a go, but I can't play DragonSweeper unfortunately due to that issue that made it entirely unplayable. I have NO idea what happened... Other games can be played, but What??? I am so confused what happened here. I'll share a screenshot when I do get to that, it's just so puzzling as to what happened. My internet is perfectly fine as far as I'm aware.

It doesn't work for me downloaded through the itch client (same colourful lines issue), but it works perfectly in a browser

In the browser it's an issue for me unfortunately either way...

The loading screen is supposed to look like that (it's a tribute to the C64's loading screen). Just give it a minute - it's not the quickest to load.

Oh,  but it still hasn't loaded for me at all though, I've left it open since then and it's the same colorful lines problem. And that was an hour ago. The past hour I went to cook and play with my pets. Came back and the screen was still the same. Unless it really is supposed to take longer than an hour?

Are you playing on a computer? It also hangs on the loading screen for me on my tablet.

Yes, I have only a Desktop PC, I do not own any tablets or anything of the sort. I have a phone about the closest thing, but it's never used for that sort of stuff, just my PC. So yes, I am playing on a computer.

This game is amazing! Looking forward to multilevels and maybe a mobile version?

I am still trying to figure out the best strategy to clear the board.

I love this game! If I could have one tiny improvement it would be a way to completely switch whether I'm marking or attacking- there have been numerous times that I accidentally set off a bomb or got killed because I don't have a mouse and am using the touch pad to right click

Well dang if this wasn't astounding! What a well put together game!

(-1)

Had to pull out the calculator, got so close a few times but wasnt pauing attention to my hearts, but got 303 on my first win.

(-1)

Loved the game!Well that was fun! I enjoyed the game!

How can I download this for posterity?

Look it up, first step is to get it in the Wayback Machine, and having Linux would be easier but not required.

can someone help?

Are there any specific monsters that are giving you trouble?

(1 edit)

The beholder things make "?" on all things in a diamond shape tiles. the "L#" represents the amount of health they display in tile and how much health they'll take, the "x#" shows how many there are. Is that good?

(+5)

(L 1 = 1 dmg) , (L 5 = 5 dmg),   ect.

the L 11 will always be in a corner

purple L 1 will always be on the edge, surrounded by 5 purple L 8

L 5 cat will be surrounded by 4 L 1 mice, when killed it will reveal all mice

I recommend not opening up chests with a question mark near them,  if a number next to a chest is >10 it may be a mimic

the edge is pretty safe to make a guess if you have no better option IMO

level up before grabbing any heath scrolls

keep walls or mice around to help bring you to 0 hp

see if you can level up by emptying your health bar, if you need more XP than have health, you might want to make a guess if you have no scrolls,

if you have any more questions I'll try to answer them, I've only played for 12 mins

(+1)

One thing you left out that I think helps a lot as far as locating goes: the rats will always face the rat king! If they face left, he's to the left, if the face right, he's to the right, and if they're standing, he's in that column!

(-1)

Victory with a score of 194. This game made me rage-quit so many times, I was sure it's unbeatable but it is. Fantastic game, I don't want to ever play it again.

(-1)

Finally I could finish it with a score of 303. This is such an awesome game, I love it!

(1 edit) (+1)

Finally 303 score with all tiles cleared!

For a tip: Notice monsters’ behavior. They do and appear in certain patterns.

Can you please help? i've only noticed the more obvious patterns...

You need to use the white numbers to deduce how many damage points there are in each square. For ex, in the upper-left area, the white 7 tells you that the one square diagonal to it has 7 damage, which means the square to the right of it must be a 3 (in order to add up to the white 10 touching both squares). You can also use the white 2 nearby to find a 2 damage square. Combine that with the 7 and the 3 and you get 12; since all three touch the white 12, that means the 4th square it touches must be empty. (Ofc you also know it's empty because there's a white 15 touching it on the other side that's already accounted for by the dragon square, but it's an example of the sort of deduction you need to do).

Like Minesweeper, it is possible to get into situations where it's impossible to figure out without guessing. But it's a lot easier to work out if you right-click squares to mark how much damage you think they have. (Use the "X" that comes after 10 to mark mines)

(+3)

Could do with more pencil marking options, I think shift right click for max starting at 10 going down ctrl right click for min starting at 1 going up right click for X

pude conseguir la máxima puntuación. costó, pero estuvo divertido.

De casualidad no está el juego para descargar en el celu, no? jasjsajajajja
