Amazing, very well done addition to the Minesweeper genre. When I was a kid playing the original on Windows 98 I never would have expected there would be a whole category of Minesweeper games.
Some monsters have some special properties that make them easier to figure out. For example the wizard is always hidden within a ring of 8hp purple blocks has only 1hp and shows you all purple and green blocks and the 5hp aliens are in the center of ??-fields.
This is ONE OF THE BEST Innovative Gameplay of Minesweeper I've ever played and it's very satisfying to beat. I thoroughly enjoyed learning how to play the game just from failure and eventually beat the game several times.
The music is also very fun to listen to while playing - really makes me on edge to beat the Dragon (in a good way).

This is brilliant! I'd love to see an expanded version of this, even if it's just different "rules" to figure out on different levels or something.
After I beat it, reading the comments made me realize that there were plenty of rules I didn't notice, so it's a testament to the game design that it was still a conquerable (although difficult!) puzzle.
A very logical game that can be beaten reliably without RNG or use of scrolls. For a real challenge, aim to get the LOWEST possible score. I'm currently at 185 , good luck gamers!
Amazing game. Need some time to fully understand it but I like games where you have to figure out something yourself which makes the progress much more rewarding.
One thing that I could not figure it out. I think the ultimate goal is to defeat everything beside the dragon. SPOILER I’m sure that the levelling up is the most crucial, so the key is to collect gold as fast as possible. Is it possible to clear everything without luck? I assume that the enemy with 0 health + 10 gold is the key but I could not figure it out how to defeat that as fast as possible, similar to 5 gold chest.
Rats will always face the blue rat, if a rat is standing it means that rat is on the same collom as the blue rat. The blue rat cant be on the edge of the grid and will always have 4 normal rats next to it. when the blue rat is killed it will drop a scroll that will reveal the location of all rats
The purple wizard will always be on the edge of the map and will be always surrounded by 5 big slimes. when killed it drops a scroll that reveals the location of all slimes.
Damn this game reminds me of a legend from catalonia that was about a warrior called Jordi who defeated a dragon (Jordi is Jorge in catalan). Pretty fire game I'd buy it if I had money
Love the game - still working on figuring out the monster patterns. I'd love an option to help track which monsters you've revealed (because they disappear once they are taken out). I created a spreadsheet to help me - but it'd be rad if the game helped.
I looked at your site and your social handles - is there a way to chip in some $ to you? I've played this enough that I feel like I should pay for it.
took atleast 10-20 games to understand what was going on, yet was intrigued enough to keep going, took about 3 days to get a win. Nice game, not sure if im; gona replay but was good distraction for a while. cool idea
Im really enjoying this! Realized only after 30 mins that it's cutting columns on mobile. Need to play on PC, but I think it will get a much wider audience if adapted on mobile correctly.
Enjoying this! Is there an alternative control for marking tiles? On a trackpad, it is really easy to accidentally left-click when you are trying to right-click.
Very very fun! Managed to get (what I assume is) a perfect score after a few attempts. Would really love if there was a setting that switched the heart/xp UI to just numbers. I found myself having to count up my missing xp and remaining hearts a lot as a result of not having that. better tools for marking spaces would also be nice. a sudoku esque sideboard of buttons would have been useful to avoid all the clicking.
Super fun to play, the music soooo good too. It doesn't display properly on my phone sadly, only PC. Would love if I could play this sat on public transport.
Oh I absolutely love this. Went into it blind (I did not see the book. Ahem. Thats on me) but its pretty easy to figure out after you die a couple times. Absolutely awesome rethinking of minesweeper. Love the graphics
I alt-tabbed away from the game, when I came back it was in debug mode and all tiles were revealed, how do I turn that off? EDIT: The dev said that D is the key for debug mode
how are people clearing all mines from their board? the scroll only explodes those fully revealed, not marked. I've tried marking all nine before using it too.

Excellent game Daniel! I finally beat it and can go to sleep at 2:30am. Score 188. Guessing I could have kept going before killing the dragon.
Spoilers:
- Look for the necromancer(?) when you have 11 health.
- Look for the middle of the question marks
- Look for the rat king

Also the Lvl 4 Green monsters will alwaus be in pairs and face each other
And the Lvl 5 Purple monsters will always be two and mark each tile two spaces away as "?" and the four corners around them.
And after being killed the necromancer will drop a scroll that will eliminate all Lvl100
You can also press D to enter developer mode and it will just show you where everything is =O

Nice concept! Nice execution so far. Hopefully randomness/luck doesn't overtake skill.

Very fun minesweeper variant. I enjoyed the transition from 'this is obviously impossible' to 'wait, this is actually very easy' I felt.
Excellent twist on classic Minesweeper. I love the mental reasoning aspect of Minesweeper and this puts it up to 11. Well done!

turned out I'm a moron. the scroll does delete the bomb, just click the boxes and claim your prize.
got there with one to spare! :) fun little game once you work it out!
