This is a brilliant game! However, I found a bad animation bug. When the XP meter fills, it starts animating. However, xpAnimation[] is getting absolutely flooded. I think there is logic to prevent elements from being added if they're are already in xpAnimation[] but it is not working. Every update another N elements get added, where N equals the size of the XP bar. In moments there are thousands of elements in it. This consumes a ton of CPU time. Once the player levels up, xpAnimation[] is cleared and everything runs smoothly again.

Yes, it will be fixed in the upcoming update

omg i had to try so many times and finally got it. this is such an amusing take on minesweeper. loved it

I love this game, it took me like 2 hours to get through it but it was worth it!  I cannot stop playiing till defeating the dragon.

yeah, finally!

Such a cool game. Also the music goes so hard, please release it somewhere

this is actually so peak dude

(+2)(-1)

I did it!

Finally got 303.  There is a trick... or at least a realization that escaped me for the whole game, since nowhere it is said that you can do that.  If you are stuck at 280 something, a hint: see the screenshots of the people that got a perfect score.  What is missing?

Amazing game! It took me a few tries to grasp the mechanics, but after that I was hooked.

I’d definitely pay a few bucks for a mobile version.

A strategy for walls after looking at the source: 4 walls have 3xp, 3 have 1xp, it's probably worth hitting every wall twice early and keeping track of how many 3x's you got to try and get the most extra XP asap, save the rest for cleanup

Only one wall has 4hp so you don't want to break it until cleanup it's +0 best case -3 worst case

edit: looks like walls have a different graphic when theyre 1 hit from breaking so always hit every wall 1 time and only hit a 2nd time before cleanup if its 1 click from breaking  best case is 6 hits for 12xp, worst case is 9 hits for 6xp

It is a brilliant game, I really enjoyed it and spent a couple of hours to get 303 points:)

Some tips for those who can't beat 100%:

1) You should only heal when you have 0 HP

2) If you have to choose between scroll and level up (for healing) — choose level up. Because it also increases your max hp and makes the scroll more valuable later in the game

3) My strategy was to explore the map quickly, try to save healing scrolls for later and not fight too often. You should find a wizard with level 11 and also mark as many bombs as possible. Then, when you reach lvl 11 (11hp) — kill the wizard and you will have lots of free gold spots marked. You can collect them to level up, heal yourself (and save scrolls for later)

4) Actually, when you have 11hp, you can explore any area (if there's no bomb for sure) because it's the maximum damage in the game. Don't forget this

I always like seeing minesweeper variants. Usually they are way too complicated, but I really liked the simplicity and the "learn it by trial and error" attitude the game had. I'll be following to see what you cook up next!

Was a very fun experience, once you figure out the strategy it's quite engaging, great game!

I fully cleared the board but somehow got 302 instead of 303 like so many are talking about, idk how I ended up 1 point short, but I'm still happy about it!

(+2)(-1)

you got an unlucky board... sometimes a monster gets overwritten by a different, lower-scoring one by the generator as part of making the patterns I think

(+2)

I believe a max score of 302 happens when the rat king spawns next to the dragon

the rat king is supposed to spawn 4 rats around himself, but if he spawns next to the dragon then he will only be able to spawn 3 rats since one of the spots where he would spawn one is taken up by the dragon

(+2)

by the way you can tell from the start if a board will give a max score of 302 by checking the monsternomicon, if there are 16 rats you will get 303, but if there are only 15 you will get 302

great game! had a blast figuring out the rules. it was nice challenge to clear the board and get 303.

i keep coming back to this — it's so fun! so far, my high score is 284

I DID ITI DID IT

This game was amazinf, i think i spent like 2 hours on it and its one of the most amazing puzzle games ive played

Got 277 after several tries.

Knowing ahead of time that the Gazers have that area of confusion around them would have been helpful though.

(+1)

I was confused about the area of confusion, but when I took some time to observe the full map I understood the pattern to know where it is. Same thing for the "master of slimes".

186pt now.

(+3)(-1)

Finally beat it! Got 299. If it wasn't for one silly heart I would've gotten 303. Back to work >:)

Every single person involved in this little great game should be praised. Daniel for the addictive gameplay, Hernan for the incredibly catchy song(s), Julieta for the really really nice pixelated graphics and Dani for the satisfying poem at the end credits.

¡Vamos hermanos!

Got the 303, great game!!!

I defeated them all, and my final score was 299!

I finally got the board cleared, with 288 points.  I hear there's people who get as much as 303.  Maybe after some days of rest from this I'll give that a go :).

Great game!  Looking forward to checking out other games by Daniel.

first win 278 :)

(+2)(-1)

Great!

Good game Score 185. Took a few tries to understand the numbers :D

MORE!! :D It was awesome! More levels please ;)

(+1)(-1)

First win: 189 points

Just barely had enough health to clear the board before the final level-up, which I guess is probably intentional.

Sorry, my English may be poor (Google translation)

Great game!

It was a lot of fun!

I have a suggestion.

・Maximum number of consecutive wins (and current number of consecutive wins)

・Win rate (and number of successes and failures)

How about always displaying these?

Basically, I think the game is designed to be cleared by improving the player's skills.

The rules that encourage this are well-designed.

However, when I watched a YouTube video of someone who cleared this game the other day, I was disappointed to see that they clicked by luck even though there were still parts that could be done the right way, and cleared it by chance...

Even now after clearing it, I play it many times, so having the number of consecutive wins would motivate me even more.

Thank you for making a good game.

The creator is great!

256. Really cool things to observe to get there!

A good game. I had so much fun with it.

Fun game! Took a second to figure it out. Took a bit to get a win. Definitely a great upgrade for Minesweeper

(+1)(-1)

233 so far. this games is amazing

269!

285.... so close

297! only two creatures left. UFFF

How does it compute the final score?  I see people with scores of 303, but I cleared the entire board and only got to 288.

Either it's a glitch, or you didn't actually clear everything! Did you clear all the stones?

Clear the stones, eh? Didn’t know you could do that - I thought they were just walls!

Okay, clearing the stones got me to 303!

Yay!

I’ve cleared the board maybe seven or eight times, and I score exactly 285 or 288 each time.

There may be hidden points you haven't discovered yet  <|;^y

D’oh!
